It's powered by a Briggs 16 (?) hp engine. that's about all I know about the thing. I was thinking about getting it for myself for much the same reasons. If you want simply the best buy an old IH Cub Cadet. Look for one that has been stored inside and owned by a homeowner for mowing the lawn. They are the most expensive older garden tractors for good reason. Parts are easily availible and they are based on sound engineering. I am always looking for old Cub Cadets and they are rarely for sale. Good luck: Mie Dane : My late father had a JD 318. This tractor had dual Hydrauics PTO Three point hitch and power steering. Made for a nice easy operating machine. What type of PTO is on these garden tractors? Are there any small square hay balers which can attach to it?
Where are the list of attachments? I saw a IH CubCadet yesterday at a YardSale. It had already sold
for only $200. How are the new Cub Cadet Garden Tractors? What does the MTD webpage mean by "shaft driven
attachments?" Is this the PTO? Where can you view available attachments? Thanks so much and look forward to your email...
