If you own a Ford, JD, IH & Cash what do you do? Too much time to constantly drain the system. Over time they all end up mixed. My guess is that they all end up with what is most convienant/least expensive. My day ran dextron in his gear tractors for years with no problems or abnormal wear. i'm talking 25 years +. I'm not up on the new big ones but my Kubota Dealer recomended HyTran over the Kubota fluid for my new little Hydro Kubota. I've run Cub Cadet Hydros on Hytran and Dextron and couldn't tell the difference a decade later. I do like hytran better because of the water retension properties. It might make sense to do the drain thing once if you don't know where the implement was used. Gear Oil / dirt / water would be a bad things to get in your trans. Mixing Hy Guard and Hy Tran - I don't think it matters all that much
