Just Another Challenge

The trouble with old tractors isn't the tractors.

It's the fact that your idea of right and the prior owner's idea of right often are two entirely different things. :>(

Bought this old tractor 'cause it was so mechanically "sound". Just a darned good old, well-kept tractor. Okay fine.

Noticed the "water cooler" mounted on the roof; didn't really give it much thought. I was worried more about the tractor itself and if it had been taken care of.

Bottom of the story line, I get all done putting in a new floor mat, flushing the heater core and insulating the cab from one end to the other. Put on a new muffler to shut that engine up; all done and head for the farm.

Well, it had snowed here the other day and there was a lot of water up on top of the roof. Darned thing "rained" on me for a mile, leaking out of that silly water cooler mounted up there!

Evidently, the Air conditioner had quit and the fella had just found it cheaper to disable it and buy one of these water cooler thingys.

Sorry, it's gotta go. When I find the time, it's back to the salvage yard to find two condenser motors with fans and mounting hardware. I want the original A/C back.

Geeeze! Seems like it is always something.
