In general, the orginal battery for an M was a Group 2. The Group 1 was used up through the H and the Supers used a Group 3. One thing to look for is the CCA (Not CA) rating. The minimum CCA for a Group 2 battery is 585CCA. Most of today's batteries will exceed this minumum. Shop around for the Group 2 battery with the highest CCA rating. Also, when using the 6 Volt system, use heavy gauge battery cables such as 1GA. Using the discount store 6 or 8GA cables won't do the job. K-Mo
