Looking to get new tires on dad's 4840. It currently has 20.8-38s but we're hoping to upsize. Nows the time to switch sizes as we are also gonna buy duals so the only extra cost will be changing the original rims. I was wondering what people here think about these sizes. The tractor will be hauling a 3500 gallon manure tanker up and down steep hills in SW Wisconsin. We have two farms about 5 miles apart so it will be pulling loads of manure between the two often. The 4640 will be doing the same but it has a good set of 18.4-42s on it. They seem to be a good size but we supposedly could get better flotation and a slightly faster road speed with the 20.8s. Thanks.

Third Brush Generators - by Chris Pratt. While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity". After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
