Does it hiccup under a heavy load with the tractor idling? If so, chances are it is a bad o-ring in the "brain" of the 3-point unit. Before you start, you'll need to drain some of the hydraulic-oil as well as remove the cover under the seat on top of the 3-point unit. If your tractor has a remote hydraulic valve, you will need to remove it. If it just has the power-beyond block-off plate in place of the remote-valve, you'll need to remove it. Behind the plate/valve, is an allen-head screw. Also, on the front right corner of the 3-point unit is a circular looking piece with a regular bolt and an allen head screw in it as well. Remove both of these allen head screws and grab ahold of the "bolt" head with a pair of vise-grips. with a bar, pry between the "bolt" and the allen head screw so that you rotate the "brain" clock-wise. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE REMOVED THE ALLEN HEAD SCREW BEHIND THE POWER-BEYOND BLOCK-OFF PLATE/VALVE BEFORE YOU PRY!!! pull on the vise-grips after rotating the "brain". You may need to pull very hard (tap vise-grips) with a hammer. Once removed, there will be an o-ring that lays in a recess on the side of the "brain". Look to see if there is any damage to the o-ring. Sometimes, the o-ring may not look damaged, but simply replacing it fixes the problem most of the time. Put everything back together in reverse order of disassembly with the exception of needing to rotate the "brain", most times as long as you lube it with hyd. oil you don't need to rotate. Just make sure not to pinch the o-ring or let it slip out.
