My first grade teacher and her husband lived on a farm owned by his mother. They lived in the log cabin, which they modernized built by Nathan Boone. He was Daniel Boones youngest son and he founded Ash Grove, MO. Dick and Lois had a Jeep they used for a tractor mowed hay, raked hay, plowed, then they drove it to work Dick was a type setter at the local weekly paper, and Lois thr first grade teacher. Later he bought a C Farmall and traded the jeep for a ford truck.
