Ever see that old episode of "The Cosby Show" where he went to buy a new car and dressed down and drove and old clunker? It was working until someone recognized him as a Doctor and asked how his wife, the lawyer, was doing. The salesman shelved the deal. The same holds true in life. A person's perception has much to do with the prices they charge and pay. When I show up somewhere in my 16 year old pickup, and dressing the way I do, people assume that I don't have much money and live in a poor area. While it's not true, it is percieved that way to the casual observer. I believe it's true that people who have more money will pay more money for the same products and services as people who do not have money.
