: : : Help please. We have a small 16 acre farm in the nothern Waillamette Valey of Oregon.
: : : We need a tractor with a front end loader, something to pull a manure spreeder, hall a hay wagon,
: : : brush hog the weeds, and till our small garden.
: : : We owned a 1940's MH with no 3pt pto. We are VERY CONFUSCED about what type, power et all
: : : we want in a older used tractor. Any input would be appreciated. P.S. We are not gifted
: : : mechanics. Thank You Candy

: : You may want to look for a Ford 3000 or 4000. Built in the 60's. Around here they go for aroun 5-6000. They will have plenty of diesel power and can take the work.
: : Some tips: Live hydraulics, power steering with a loader, 3-pt hitch ( many implements available )
: : Good luck I hope I have helped. Leave a post on what you buy.

: Rick is right on the money. Have also used a John Deere 830 with good results.

Don't get wraped up in what kind of tractor to by, find a good dealer in your area and have him help you. The dealer can service the rig and anser most of your question on size attachments and service. Good luck
Monte
