Truth or Myth

We switched L P gas suppliers….the new company pumped the old tank empty so we called the old company to come pick it up and send us the balance they owe us from the prepay plan. It’s been several weeks and two calls and the tank is still setting in the yard. Office gal says she can’t send the money they owe us because we still have the tank on our property. On this board I’ve seen people say to charge rent for each day it sits in my yard…...Does this approach have any legal standing?? or will the supplier just laugh?
