We have one on our MH50 but I believe that somebody put it on. As it happens we had a Massey dealer down the road when that model was new and I was a kid. I don't recall any of the inventory having such knobs on to begin with. I left ours on because it is handy for assisting rapid steering during right hand 90 degree turns while mowing hay. Other than that I agree with other posts that "suicide knobs" as they were once known are more dangerous than helpful. This is especially true on cars or other places where an operator could have their chest thrown into one. That's one reason why they lost favor and I think were eventually outlawed in cars.
