I bought a rebuilt clutch and pressure plate last winter on a tractor I waw working on and the fingers on the pressure plate never came out to where the height of the old one when laying on the bench, I called the place where I got it from and they were going to send me a replacement but they opened the box and found the same thing I did so they called the rebuilder and l;o and behold to save box space they put bolts in the pressure plate to collapse it. I removed the bolts and everything came back to normal.
