Can you not set the pump timing with the front pully with #1 at top dead center and then line up the 2 marks in the timing window on the pump (if a roosa master/staydine) and bolt the gear in place again? that is how it was on my 7000 with a 301, I am guessing this has the 200 cu in motor? I had to take the front timing adaptor plate off of my 7000 and I timed it like this and it worked just fine. I believe advancing helps if it is not advanced too much (too much advance should cause it to hardly run though I think). The pumps had an automatic advance on them if a roosa master/staydine. My 7000 is only set for soemthing like 18 degrees before top dead center I believe and it has the automatic advance. The 190xt though, according to the I&T manual is supposed to be set to somthing like 28 or 29 degrees before top dead center, but it doesn't have teh automatic advance on it. Good luck. I hope that information is pretty correct. An I&T manual will show you how to time it. I never heard of hooking up to a dynometer, but I haven't been around tractors as long as a lot of you all have. He froze to death getting this tractor out of the barn to pull a truck out of the ditch before I was born. Anyway my dad and aunt had to sell it at the auction,
