I need some help with my k161 kohler in my cub cadet. Last week I took it out of the tractor check the internals of the engine out. Ever since I got the tractor the engine ran okay but it had a rattle and it smoked a little, so little you hardly noticed it but it did blow a little white smoke. I was thinking the rod might be loose but it wasn't I popped the piston out and the rings looked ok the bore is smooth but not really worn. I can now turn the crank and I still here the noise. Sounds like something is loose somewhere but I don't feel anything loose. I don't know where to go from here. Mike.
