A little while ago someone posted an incident where there fire caught on fire. They got the fire out with no damage, but learned from this experience that it might be a good idea to have a fire extinguisher on board. Well, I was thinking of that story as I read the local paper. On the front page was a large Ford tractor sitting in a hay field ablaze with the fire department putting it out. One of the problems with a tractor fire is, the fact that the tractor may be inaccessable by fire truck when it happens to catch fire. The fire truck in this instance had a little trouble but were able to get to it. Still cost the guy $10,000 to $15,000 dollars and 300 to 400 bales of hay. The source was believed to be an electrical short in the area of the battery. I have a question. Is there any danger with diesel tractor with this type of thing, seeing as the diesel fuel isn't as volitile
