Three choices: 1. DSL - uses same wires as your phone line. If it is "static", DSL may not work. Minimally, you would need to check availability for your phone number. Check on web site for whoever is providing your local service. 2. Roadrunner provided by the cable companies. If you have cable service for your TV, this an option (available without TV service but why would anyone do that?). You can also get local and long distance phone service from your cable company. 3. Satelite service from Dish Network and Direct TV. last time I checked though, this was very expensive. If you can get reliable DSL, most companies offer intro rates for first year that compete favorably with dial up. Good luck..............
