Tom, 1.Rotate the wheel so that the rack (the grooves in the axle) are up. 2.Loosen the three cap screws and screw them out about 1/2 an inch. 3.Turn the two jack screws EVENLY against the wedge until the outer groove on the jack screw is even with the outside surface of the wheel hub. 4.If you can't get the wedge to move in I have had very good results by applying pressure on the jack screws with the wrench and having someone smack the end of the axle with a sledge hammer. I suppose it is the vibrations helping out. REMEMBER no matter how little you move the jack screws do it evenly going back and forth from one to the other. Persistance and penetrating oil is the key. I have also made a sleeve that pushes on the lower part of the wedge, but I also have broken a hub doing it that way. 5.After the wedge is loose jack up the tractor and move the wheel in by turning the pinion shaft.
