The only place I've ever seen Kroil is direct from the factory. They have an introductory special of two spray cans for $10 the last I looked including shipping. They do have a web page. It makes WD-40 look like plain old kerosene (which I think IS mostly what it is). If the studs are sealed in place with loctite, though only a lot of heat will get them loose, I don't know of any chemical that will break down cured loctite. I'd rather not try a stud remover first, I've been that route. Its very hard to drill the broken stud remover out of the remains of the stud. I did that a couple years ago on a 5/8" diameter bolt and then had to remove the guts of that bolt with a die grinder to get it worn out to the place I could take out the threads in pieces which I found anchored by something brown, not rust. Sometimes when drilling it would be hand to be using a left handed drill so it can act as an eazy out. In the violent cases where Kroil won't work, I suppose one could heat the stud alone. Close to the block and rapidly heat it red so it gets soft and when it tries to expand has to crunch, so when it cools its loose. Gerald J.
