Got a question about Electric clutches. I'm thinking of buying a new tractor with a loader for mowing and loader work but that could also run a baler if the farmall M was down. Seems like a lot of the newer hydrostatic drive tractors have electric clutches. On the ones I've used it seems they engage rather quickly. I am concerned that this would be a problem engaging the PTO when running a baler. I'm looking to get a hydro but if the tractors with the shuttle shift has a more traditional type clutch to engage the PTO I might go with a gear tranny. I would be baling about 12-15 acres. What advice can you guys give on this? Thanks, John S-B.
