I had a chevy that did that and it turned out to be an enursha(sp) swithc thats suppose to shut the engine down if hit from behind or in and accident. Mine was a little black box located just above the gas pedal . Had a little white reset button on top that you push down to reset. Wasn"t in an accident but it tripped anyway. Reset it and it ran perfect. Just a thought.-Bill P S Some cars have them located behind the side panel on the pass side or in the trunk.
