Webb, where did you read in my post that mentioned anything about the age of the individual or indivividuals I was dealing with???
I will clarify this for you, I was dealing with a person in mid 50's,"Manager" which I did not mention in original post. Age has nothing to do with being inept. One of the main problems is, that inexperienced parts people don't and won't listen to the customer, who owns the vehicle and most do their own mantainance of such.So most of them know what they have., not what the computer data says. It took me less than 15 minutes to find the part for my Ford (including registering on Autozone web) using their data!!! So what is this telling you. Especially when I had never used their data base, I CAN FIND THE CORRECT PART. I have no problem dealing with the younger generation when needing parts, have a met many young people that are extremely informed on what they are doing. STUPID knows no bounds regardless of age. And to set you straight on my action at store,,I have never been disrespectful to anyone. You did not read in my post where I told the person how stupid or inept he or she was. I politely informed sale person that I would go to NAPA to get the fuel pump I need. And I would give Autozone lots of "free advertizement" which I have, resulting from my post.

One of the main problems is that some, do not understand what they read and don't listen to the voice of experience, so therefore how can they truely expect to help others!!!!

I have been on the otherside of the counter and have dealt with the consumer more years than you are old. When you had the problem with customer, did you ever consider cross referencing you data with another source???? I'll bet not!!
