I boughT a universal zenith carb 12522 from Yesterdays tractor went to install could not install becuase the shaft for the throttle on the back side of the carb stuck out too far. Called in to Yesterdays tractor today and asked them if this is normal they said it should fit right on without any trouble but this is not the case!! I talked to david over there at Yesterdays tractor he siad that I have to cut the shaft down so it will clear the block hence the name universal carb!! I want to know if anybody else has experienced this and if I should have to cut that portion of the threaded rod! Thanks
