Makes you almost want to cry when you hear about somebody seriously injured or losing their life in a highly preventable incident. The pressure is always on to "git er done" especially when the weather is going bad, this only compounds the potential for bad decisions. I often think back to the dumb decisions I've made, and the highly LUCKY outcomes that resulted, no perticular amount of skill can be quantified that saved my skin. I'm still a big advocate of the first and best safety guard you can use is your head.
