The Kubota M6800 is an excellent tractor. Kubota is replacing it with the M7040 and I don't think there are many M6800s left on dealer lots. Only two problems I have noticed. The headlights on the ROPS model are postioned too low in the grill if you're doing loader work. You'll end up covering the light beams with the loader most of the time. That has been changed in the new model by raising the headlights to the top of the grill. The other problem is the seat. I weigh 200 lbs and if I set the dial on the back of the seat to 200 lbs I will end up bottoming out and topping out on any good sized bump. That means the seat bottoms out (bang) and then comes completely up to the top end of the travel range with another bang. I just crank the dial all the way to the top (275# I think) and do without any seat floating action. The tractor is lighter than most of it's competitors which I consider a plus because you can always make a tractor heavier. My neighbor has one that he uses for loader work and he bought the cast rear wheels, weights and has fluid in the tires. It performs very well. He bought that tractor after the brand new New Holland he had had three different problems with the transmission. Each time took several weeks to fix and he finally had enough and bought the Kubota. Now has about 1500 hours on it. Mine has 500+ and no mechanical problems.
