Aloha, If I am reading your post right, it looks like you are referring to the engine block thread?? If there is enough clearance, I would get a threaded rod the same size as the bolt and thread it into the block until it bottoms out. Thread two nuts on the end of the rod and lock it. Try turning it with a wrench until it won"t go anymore and do this with the bracket on. Mark it so it will have enough threads for the two nuts after you cut the rod. Put the two nuts back on the end of the rod and screw it back into the hole and you may use some locktite to keep it tight. Remove one nut and secure the other nut and don"t forget the lock washer. This usually works unless the threaded hole is worn out.
