Here is a pretty recent pic of Sandy with a few of the cats. Most of the cats learned not to run if she gives chase. She just loves to tree a cat and then go out 20 feet or so and wait for the cat to come back down for the next chase. Funny thing is they all get along great, even sleep together when it gets cold.
Sandy showed up on December 22 last year, just came right on in as if she lived here. She was pretty sad looking, and covered in fleas and ticks and of course very hungry and thirsty. We bathed her, and of course gave her food and water which she promptly devoured. She was obviously abused because she would cower down if you moved too quickly. As you can imagine, that fear is now gone. She has the run of the place, and I leave the gate open all the time so she can leave at will but as you can imagine, I don't think you could chase her off with a big stick now. I have an old golf cart and her favorite thing to do is go with me down those back roads and run and chase anything that moves. Turns out she's a good watch dog too. If the gate is open, anyone can drive in and she never bothers them. I had the gate closed one day and the UPS man came to deliver a package and she never bothered him before with the gate open. This time, he parked out front and opened the gate to walk in and she tried to take his leg off. You should have seen the look of shock on his face, and mine too!
By the way, the signs for the Chihuahua are now posted at the RV parks and grocery and bakery. We will just wait and hope for a call.
