Well it sounds like the steering problem is just that , now it could be the hand pump or a leaking steering cylinder . The wine that your telling us about sounds like a hdy. bypassing some where . And as far as the price well i would tell the dealer to stuff it where the sun does not shine . it is in my opinion that that thractor is 4000 over priced . As far as wanting a 310 well they are a good engine BUT They are going the way as the old D248-281's as fisrt off injection pump parts are getting real hard to find they do not make the thermostat for them anymore and unless ya work the snot out of them they slobber and have blowby because the rings are not being forced out against the cylinder walls . But this is my opinion .
