I have a Koehring tractor that was a factory prototype.. Behind the engine are the following:1:Torque converter in bellhousing 2:"reverser" with several hydraulic lines, controlled by one small cable operated lever.3:Ford Truck tranny. . . Question one.. Why does it grind putting it in one or the four forward speeds?(Truck tranny seems to have reverse locked out) Question two... What would cause apparent slippage in the higher gears or when unit is hot? It acts like a car that ran low on fluid.Rebuilt converter, "checked out " reverser.. Question three... Is there a hydraulic pump somewhere responsible for the pressure in the system? And finally , question four.. HOW does this animal work anyway? I understand a torque converter and the truck tranny... Please don't tell me to get a manual.. This is a tractor that was never produced for sale. Koehring parts people run when they see it...
