JD sounds as if he's right on the money. My guess would be oil on top of the pistons, that will lock one up in a heartbeat. How to resolve it on a diesel, I don't know. Gas you just pull the plugs and turn it over and reinstall. If the engine has a lot of hours on it (a lot of engine wear) chances are good if you let it sit for 24 hours it will turn over on it's own. You might try turning it over manually, and both directions first though. If it does sit for a day or so, then turn over it will more than likely start but you will cloud up the whole county for a little while. Oh, don't forget to check all your fluid levels if you haven't already.
