Never used a belt head, as you call it, but they are great if you have enough rowed beans or other (typically oil seed) crop to afford it. Went out of style as narrow rows for beans came in around here. A true wheat head would be aweful for beans. You need a flex head to get beans, they grow so close to the ground, and a bat reel is not good, need the bean head with fingers. --->Paul
