When I first read the question I didn't understand what was going on, until I noticed that it was a Ford mower....
Remember that you B was never really intended to carry a whole lot of down weight on the rear end and the way that it sits it's easy for the mower to push the wheels up. Paul is exactly right about the weight, and I also agree with "ouch" in that I would be veerryy carefull on inclines unless I really stuck the weight to it. You might play around with adding weights to the front and then sticking a little weight, like three or four cinderblocks, on the mower to see what happens. I would over-weight the front to the point where you could put maybe 100lbs on the rear and still keep the front down for a margin of safety.
