my father has a 2001 8.1 as fas getting 12 to 14 lol i wish about 10 maybe 11..just got back from traveling to orange tx to help my sister..got less than 6 driving 50 to 60 miles per hour with gooseneck with 2840 with loader ...and oh yes i kept my foot out of it...i talked my father out of diesel because we keep farm fuel here and i know what he would have done...i see where new allisons are now 6 speeds boy do the 5 speeds shift smooth... have nice day may god bless
