WinXP/2000 start->run type in cmd this brings up a command prompt type in tracert ytmag.com and hit enter This will trace the route and show latency for each leg of the route Win 95/98 is the same but at run type in, command Mine shows as the following. I *'d out the first few IPs and server names due to security concerns. I work at an ISP. Tracing route to ytmag.com [64.113.213.241] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <10 ms <10 ms <10 ms *.*.*.* 2 <10 ms <10 ms <10 ms *.lnng.mi.*.* [*.*.*.*] 3 <10 ms <10 ms <10 ms *.*.lnng.mi.*.* [209.153.128.12 ] 4 7 ms 6 ms 6 ms p4-0.core01.ord03.atlas.cogentco.com [38.112.19 185] 5 6 ms 6 ms 6 ms p10-0.core02.ord01.atlas.cogentco.com [154.54.3 153] 6 32 ms 32 ms 32 ms p6-0.core02.jfk02.atlas.cogentco.com [66.28.4.8 ] 7 34 ms 34 ms 34 ms p13-0.core01.phl01.atlas.cogentco.com [66.28.4. ] 8 42 ms 38 ms 38 ms p4-0.core01.dca01.atlas.cogentco.com [66.28.4.1 ] 9 41 ms 39 ms 39 ms p2-0.core01.iad01.atlas.cogentco.com [154.54.2. 02] 10 56 ms 56 ms 57 ms newedge.iad01.atlas.cogentco.com [154.54.10.82] 11 88 ms 89 ms 88 ms atm5-3-100.border1.rap.sjc.transedge.com [216.2 7.2.131] 12 102 ms 102 ms 103 ms unassigned.transedge.com [216.217.2.70] 13 105 ms 107 ms 106 ms c14-e2.bsn1.rap.pdx.transedge.com [216.171.128. 0] 14 * * * Request timed out. 15 * * * Request timed out. 16 * * * Request timed out. 17 * * * Request timed out. 18 * * * Request timed out. 19 * * * Request timed out. 20 * * * Request timed out. 21 * * * Request timed out. 22 * * * Request timed out. 23 * * * Request timed out. 24 * * * Request timed out. 25 * * * Request timed out. 26 * * * Request timed out. 27 * * * Request timed out. 28 * * * Request timed out. 29 * * * Request timed out. 30 * * * Request timed out.
