I have a farmall 300. When I bought it it had a wire going from the battery cable to the coil which had to be connected in order to start the tractor and keep it running. Furthermore the generator was not charging the battery even though it is in good order. I have checked the wires for a short and have found none. It is my belief that the voltage regulator has been wired incorrectly at some time. THere are 4 posts on the regulator marked F,L, Batt, and Gen, . If anyone can provide me with a schematic or let me know where these wires should lead it would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
