You could get a 291 gas engine in a 766. It was also in late 706 and all 756 gassers plus some combines. It was a larger bore version of the 263 that was in many tractors and combines. It was in no way simaler to the 360 diesel engine or the german for that matter. Prettey much all the six cylinder manifolds were interchangeable with each other, some of the combine ones had a different outlet location tho. New aftermarket exhaust and intake manifolds are readilly aviable.
