My books says the 270 went from 1973 to 75. In 1975 the horse power was increased to 72 & they called it the 272. I thought the 98 stood for cc [per cylinder] Thats why they called it the 4/98. Works out to a 4 litre motor [roughly] Hope this helps Manuel
