I had this motor rebuilt this past winter/ spring and have not had it running since then. Time has been limited and the temperature finally dropped so I felt motivated this weekend. With that said, I went out and thought I'd do the last of the electrical (all new harness and 12 volt) and get it going today. I thought after my last post it was a weak starter, so I went and bought a new one with a new bendix just to be sure. Installed the new starter and it turned the engine over a little, then it stopped turning over the engine. The starter is still working, but it can't turn over the engine. Took out the plugs and tried to turn it over w/o compression. Still starter buzzes, but it can't get the engine to turn over. This sounds like something binding within the engine, but I am looking for advice before I call up the machine shop (who also assembled it) and get them in the game. Anything someone with tractor experience might have to add?
