My father-in-law owns a 'Leyland-Long model 4/25'. This is also known as a "BMC Mini" (possibly "Minnie") and was available with either a gasoline or diesel engine. His tractor was built around 1966. I had it at my place for about 10 years. The engine and cast main body (transmission housing) is a bit smaller than a Ford 8N or Fergusen TO-20, but when parked side-by-side, the overall length and rear wheel size and width is similar. It has a 'BMC' metal badge on the side of the hood towards the rear, and a "Long" decal on the side of the hood adjacent to the engine.
The data plate is aluminuim, and is riveted to one of the axle housings, but I don't recall just where. The basic (gasoline) engine is VERY similar to that in an MGB sportscar. It has a 3-speed transmission with reverse (controlled by one shift lever), along with 3 gear ranges (controlled by a second shift lever) for a total of 9 speeds forward and 3 reverse. It has a 2-speed (540 RPM and 1,000 RPM at the specified engine RPM) PTO. It also has a locking differential, with the lock controlled by a lever.
The gas tank is mounted below the seat and over the differential housing, with the filler mounted to one of the rear fenders.

A VERY pleasant tractor to drive.... nice power for its size, light steering, nice handling... and to top it all off, that beautiful "MGB" engine note!

Parts are available, but I don't recall the website. I seem to recall the parts people are in Tennessee. If you get stuck for a part, shoot me an Email & I will try to track them down for you.
