Hi, I am restoring this old photo. It belonged to my great- grandmother and was taken by a relative who was a photographer in the mid-west. From the lady hat fashion it looks like it is from the 1890-ies or thereabouts. The photographer's name was Rasmus Liseth and I have other farm scene pictures taken by him from Red River Valley in South Dakota. Could this be from the same place? I don't know who the people in the picture are but since this was sent to my great-grandmother in Norway I assume they are Norwegian-Americans. "C I Case Wisconsin" is written on the machine. I wonder if anyone can identify this steam thresher and therebye help date the picture.
