I don't have any experience with snow (I live in Georgia), but I have put a 2:1 Water to Anti-Freeze mixture in my Ford 4000. While is is not as heavy as CaCl, Water (fresh) alone still weighs 8.5 lbs per gallon, and antifreeze weighs slightly more per gallon. If I need more than that, I need a bigger tractor or a dozer. I pull 2 bottom plow, 6 ft rotovator, 8' double gang pull type disc harrow, et. al. New tires will definitely help also. Antifreeze has corrosion resistant additives where as CaCl will speed corrosion. My humble opinion, Tommy D. Dalton, Ga.
