Not a good day yesterday. Got home from work and had a note on my mailbox. Said I had to move my tractor from the driveway...it's an eyesore.
Now...I live in a sub-divison and keep the tractors in a rented barn. I bring them over to work on them. Sometimes in the garage sometimes outside. Been so hot here I had it in the drive way.
There is a new part of the subdivison that has on old battle axe in it. She wants to start a homeowners asso. but most of the old timmers have resisted.
I moved the tractor...but to call it an eyesore ticked me off. In who's opnion? It does need a little paint...but it's clean, no leaks, new tires and wheels...an eyesore I think not.
Now, this is the tractor that when it floods bad here people come ask me to use it and the trailer to get thru the water to get their stuff out. It pulls the T-ball kids every Spring in their parade, it mows at my church, and the kids come over when I am working on it to talk and watch...they are not getting in trouble somewhere else.
As you can tell I am still ticked. I plan to write the mayor tonight. I will remind him we do use it to help people when the city sets on it's backside in a flood every so many years.
Anyway...now I have vented...have a great 4th.
