Can't give you the distance between the deck and the blades, it's sitting in Indiana, I'm sitting in Illinois until tomorrow night. My L59 is rear discharge, are no circle baffles around the blades. Gives me a nice finish cut even at low RPMs under an AC-B. Will it get you a golf course cut? Probably not, but you won't hear me complain about it. A guy I'd met sometime back had a very similar Ingersol Rand under his Case VAC, was an excellent mower too. A couple of years ago both went for about $1,400. Now? My neighbor's got some sort of 5 footish Deere 3 point mount finish mower that's very similar to the belly mounts under their compacts, on the back of his Jubilee. It does excellent too. I figure it went for about $2K because is green, but he picked it up for $85 (nothing) somehow. All good mowers. Mark
