Sandblasting is nice if you are starting a restoration project from the beginning. You can disassemble things and protect vital parts. If your doing this re-painting project while using the tractor, follow the stipping advice. I'm working on mine right now. I do a little at a time. Like one night after work I would remove the paint on a rear wheel, the next night prep and the next paint. Time consuming but the tractor isn't tied up. For stripping I found a needle scaler form Harbor Freight that screws on to a standard air chisel gun. I always wondered why the spring screwed on. Anyway, it only cost 14.99+ship and does it ever work great in recesses and corners. On flat surfaces a DA sander is fine. Good luck!
