Hi Davis, A couple years ago over on the thedieselstop.com there was several discussions on foaming and Rotella. Those discussions never did prove any positive results but did leave a guy wondering "if" there could be one. I read in the Ford CD manual that a ruff idle or surging complaint, the mechanic was advised to add 2qts of oil above the full mark and see if the symptons disappeared. This was Fords diagnoses of oil foaming. If this curred the symptoms, a oil change and brand change was recomended. T_Bone
