I have a 92 Dodge 3/4 ton 4X4, Cummins & Getrag 5 speed. 150K miles & all I ever did was put a water pump in it. I think the 93 has a New Venture 5-speed. The Getrag is noted for problems, mine is OK, but it has started to roar & whine some. The NV tranny is much stronger... Some of the Cummins/Dodges are still running with over 500 K miles, I have been told. All in All, I am well pleased with both my Dodges. The biggest fault is that Dodge does not know how to get paint to stick to the metal. Dodge paint washes off in the rain. By the way, the early Cummins Dodges are the easiest starting Diesel I have ever seen. Even at single digit temps, they fire right up.
