OT- Chevy C-60 brake question

Hey gang, I posted this over on the truck board but am not getting any bites. Thought maybe someone here could help me out..... I have a C-60 that has been sitting for many a year and needs the entire brake system overhauled before I can use it. My question is: it currently has the vac over hydro type brakes (with the vac assist under the running board) and I'm wondering if I can change it over to the more conventional firewall mounted brake booster type? I added power brakes to an old 46 3/4 ton dodge years ago, but it didn't have this type of set-up as a starting point. Anyone out there done this before and can pass on your experience to me? Any info will be most appreciated!
