JIT delivery plays a big part in it but lets not forget, supply and demand. If a shortage is created, demand is also created. If you can't get a part you must have, or scrap the tractor, you won't mind spending that extra $100.00 for it and think you were lucky to get it. Remember the gas shortages in the '80s. According to those in charge at the time we should be all driving bicyles now. Remember Florida in the '70s, we had a construction material shortage, everything was going there so they said, anything that was still avaliable here cost more.
