Looking to make new friends

Hi Guys
Anyone around the Eaton Ohio area ?
Would like to meet some new friends!
Have always loved Farming,Tractors and old equipment.
Grew up in the city but always wanted to farm, But having no relitives in farming, all I could do was dream about, that was until I got into high school and took a vocational welding and fabrication class(1972)!
Turned out that the teacher was a farmer, We struck up a friendship that has lasted over 30 years! And in them 30 years I don't think he's ever stopped being my teacher! because he's never stopped teaching me about everything from farming to life.
Never did get my own farm! Trying to get into farming in the 70's wasnt the best time in history to try!
So ended up in a factory, been a maintenance man in a steel proccessing plant for 27 years now! But never did get totaly away from farming! Would always go out and help my buddy every spring and fall,done alot of maintenance work on his equipment!
Some of the best memories I have are of sitting on the seat of 4010 listing to that engine roar,smelling that fresh turned dirt,
Of watching them dry brown corn stalks get gobbeled up by that JD55 combine!
Man I thought I was king of the world the frist time he turned me loose on that old bine!
Anyway you know how time has a habit of moving on!
My buddy has retired from farming and leases out his ground now! Same goes for most of all the other farmers I've got to know thru my buddy! most all of them lease out there land to!
Mostly to these big outfits that roar in and in one or two days are gone with not much time for chatting or anything!
And so I'm left to dream about feeling the power and smelling the dirt again!
So if there is anyone around the Eaton/Gratis Ohio area that would like a helping hand once in a while or just a friend that could come by for a vist now and again! Let me know! For I've been away form it for a while and find that I really do miss it!
