All I did to ours (820)was hook the batteries in parallel and put a 12 volt starter on it.Uesd a test lite to find a hot wire for when the key was turned to start to the small leg on the solenoid.Hooked the positive battery cable to the starter direct to the positive side of the batteries,unhooking it from the parallel switch.
