Like the other fellow I agree that sometimes bigger is better, but if you plan on hauling your unit the Ford will load and haul easier. Now I don't know this as fact, but I understand that the 10 series John Deere tractors have a shear pin somewhere internally to protect the PTO. If you do much bushhogging or mowing and this pen shears, it may require a trip to the shop or at least a fairly good shade tree mechanic to get you up and running again. Also I'm 45 years old and if your odd jobs require much dismounting and mounting the low slung Ford will look mighty good after several hours of operation! If your looking for power the Deere has it!
